Composting with worms is a good way to help Mother Nature. Have you ever taken the time to think about how much waste you and your neighborhood send to the landfill on a daily, weekly or monthly basis that could easily be converted to compost and utilized to to grow healthy plants, and foods. Each year organic food and yard waste make up around 25 percent of the waste in the United States. That is a big share of what we are sending to the landfills. There are many counties in several states that are getting behind the Vermicomposting trend and are holding workshops to teach their area residents about the benefits of Composting with Worms. In some cases the counties are even supplying the worms to help their residents get started. Landfills are filling up at rapid rates and the rules and restrictions are getting tougher. There are even places that will not let you bring your grass clippings or tree branches to the land fill any more.
Recycling is a great program and helps with the land fills and helps the environment as well. Composting with worms is the recycling of organic things and turning them into an all natural nutrient rich organic fertilizer.
